Gay Days Anaheim Hotels
The Disneyland Property Hotels
Staying at one of the three Disney Property Hotels has some definite advantages. Most importantly, all three hotels are a stone's throw from the parks and from all Gay Days events. And through our link, the exclusive Gay Days rates are better than any rates available elsewhere. There are also other benefits to staying on property, like early admission into the parks and the option to have in-park purchases delivered right to your room. And, if you stay at the Grand Californian, you'll be in the same building as the Gay Days Welcome Center, Sunday night's Gay at the Grand gathering, and our Ladies Night performance, Suzanne Westenhoefer's Semi-Sweet. The one drawback: the Disney hotels are pricier than most other area hotels.
The three hotels are:
The Grand Californian:
With its gorgeous lobby and perfect location, this one is our favorite. It features two pools, a gorgeous spa and gym, and its own gate into California Adventure.
The Disneyland Hotel:
The newly renovated rooms and the fantastic new Tiki bar, Trader Sam's, make this place pretty fabulous, but there is still a lot of construction going on, which diminishes the experience ever so slightly. Since this was the park's first hotel, rooms are bigger than average.
The Paradise Pier:
This beach themed property is the most low-key of the Disney Hotels and therefore the quietest. Rooms with a park view look right into California Adventure and offer side views of World of Color.

The Anabella:
The Anabella is a stylish boutique Hotel in easy walking distance of the Disney parks. It is also the site of our Saturday night Ladies Lounge and our Sunday pool party, Plunge! so if you are going to either (or both) you can slip back to your room for costume changes in a flash! Other advantages to staying at The Anabella include a Welcome Reception and goodie bag, just for Gay Days guests. The hotel has a wide variety of room types and sizes. Some rooms sleep as many as six! So, if you are traveling with a big group, you may want to check out the options here. The Tangerine restaurant and lounge offers good food for about half the price of the Disney restaurants.
Special Gay Days rates are available here.
The Hotel Menage:
One of the area's more sophisticated hotels, the Menage is a great option for those looking for a little more style than is available at all of the area chain hotels. And unlike most other area hotels, the Menage caters to a more adult audience (while keeping prices pretty moderate). So if you are looking for a bit of an escape from all of the children in the parks, this might be a good oasis for you. And while their lobby bar makes a mean Cosmo, try the tropical drinks out by their gorgeous pool! Their restaurant is fantastic with some upscale dishes, but we can't resist the 60 different options available when you build your own burger.

Howard Johnson's Anaheim:
This property is by far the nicest Howard Johnson's we've ever stayed in. Rooms are large and comfy and the hotel is a very easy walk to the parks. Their newly refurbished, pirate-themed pool area, Castaway Cove, is adorable and especially great for guests traveling with kids. The hotel does not have its own restaurant or bar, but Mimi's Cafe is right across the street. They also offer free parking and free computers in the lobby from which you can check email (although logging on to Manhunt would probably be ill-advised during daylight hours).
